What is LUCIA
LUCIA is a three-day international festival dedicated to the craft of audio storytelling in radio and podcasting.

LUCIA celebrates the art and craft of non-visual storytelling: the festival highlights some of the most extraordinary examples in recent audio production. Radio and podcasts from around the world will be presented and accompanied by subtitles at Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence.
LUCIA is about listening to extraordinary audio narratives together with their creators and producers along with international artists and podcasters.
LUCIA is sounds and voices, collective stories and intimate tales, documentary and fiction, tradition and experimentation.
LUCIA is not only radio at the movies but also lectures, performances, podcasts live, workshops for aspiring and professional podcasters, and labs for kids.
LUCIA will take place in Florence, December 12th-14th and we are glad to host such great producers and artists as Audiocollectief Schik, Ariana Martinez, Andrea Borgnino, Daria Corrias, Eleanor McDowall, Emily Kennedy, Fallon Mayanja, Isabel Vazquez, Jonathan Zenti, Katharina Smets, Maya Goldberg-Safir, Matteo Bennici.
We're also happy to present a selection of incredible stories by Jess Shane, Janna Graham, Laura Romero & André Cunha and Neil Sandell...
and a series of listening sofas curated by Spreaker, AudioDoc and Constellations Audio.
We're thrilled and we are looking forward to host you all in Florence!

Where
HOW TO GET THERE

Bus
You can get the bus number 17 from the Santa Maria Novella train station - 'Scalette' stop - which will take you to Piazza Puccini in about 18 minutes ride. The ticket costs €1,50.
You can buy it at any tobacco shop or news stand or via SMS simply writing 'ATAF' to the number 4880105.
Or you could also use the App NUGO.

Tramway
Take the T2 line direction 'Peretola-Aeroporto' and get off at 'San Donato-Università ', in Via Novoli.
From there walk through Via Paganini and then Via Baracca to Piazza Puccini. Then, take Via delle Cascine for about 200 meters.
It is less than 15 minutes walk!

Bicycle
If don't have your own bike you can use the Mobike freefloating bicycles around town.
Tip: If you're coming from the South side or the Oltrarno area the easiest and fastest way is to cut through the Cascine park...

...and then if you do really must come by car:
if you're arriving from out of town, you should get off the highway at Firenze Nord and then follow the directions towards Via Baracca. Once in Piazza Puccini, take Via delle Cascine and you'll arrive at the Manifattura Tabacchi.
LUCIA is at Manifattura Tabacchi
