What is LUCIA
a workshop with Jonathan Zenti
Dec 13-14-15, 2019
10.00 am - 5.00 pm
max 20 people
Everyday thousands of podcasts are being published all over the world.
Everyday thousands are being forgotten.
It's a gold rush, a frenzy chase...competition is fierce, having your work recognized seems like a dream. Downloads in big numbers, fame, money...everything seems far far away. Especially if you get unprepared to the starting block.
With no promises and without any claim of immediate success, LUCIA, together with producer Jonathan Zenti, sets up a three days intensive workshop to move your first steps into the podcasting world.
18 hours to listen and get your hands dirty into audio production together with one of the best producers and audiostorytellers that has been gracing our ears in the last few years. Someone who started out in radio, walked his way through and up. Someone who did not become a podcaster in a day...
Jonathan Zenti, an incredible producer to learn form, someone who knows how to transform a podcast idea into an audio production people would want to listen to.
December 13th | FROM AN IDEA TO PRODUCTION
Are you thinking about producing a series? How many episodes? How is it going to be structured? How do organize your script? Which best practices can you learn by listening to other producer's outstanding works?
During the first day of the workshop you will learn where to start to create your own podcast and organize the project workflow, the script, the recordings you'r going to need...
December 14th | RECORDING, EDITING AS A CREATIVE TOOL, AUDIO FINALIZATION.
How to record - the best interviewing tips and etiquette, but also the secrets get a clean recording... - how to use editing as a creative tool and to get a decent sound through mix and mastering (even if you did record crumped into the closed or in the bathroom).
December 15th | PROMOTION, DISTRIBUTION AND DATA ANALYSIS
Now that your podcast has been produced, how do you get it out into the world? Which channels and promotion tools can be used?
WHAT TO BRING
The goal is to learn how to get the best results with what you have access to. So bring your laptop, headphones and if you have other gear you can bring your own recorder and microphones.
If you still don't have an editing software you can download REAPER.
